Content management systems sometimes make things a little extra complicated. This is a workaround plugin to use the alt-text on images—in a editor area—as caption.
The plugin was born to be used in EPiServer CMS, letting the user write an alternative text that'll be used as caption for the image. You'll find the plugin imagaCaption on GitHub.
It's not the perfect solution but it's a decent workaround. Image captions aren't the same as alternative text for an image. But in a perfect world we wouldn't need a content management system either.
